Herd Mentality

Ladies and gentlemen… behold… the newest Danish cartoon crisis. Except this time it comes in two fantastic parts:

1. Part “Israeli conspiracy theory to brain wash our youth into only caring for immoral strippers” courtesy of many of the so called “parties” who only have a say on such silly events, including leftist, socialist, Muslim Brotherhood, conservative, and so on.

2. Part “THEY’RE ENCOURAGING HOMOSEXUALITY!”, courtesy of a lot of the other parties, such as the Muslim Brotherhood, conservative, etc.

Around these two points, both teams have managed to rally a number of people around them. Because naturally, people never really bother thinking about anything.

You know, regardless of whether it matters at all if Publicis was the organizer or not (because after all, read the news), the actual organizer is called Les Visiteurs du Soir, and it’s a French company that you can read about here.

This crap gets so tiring and is a waste of everyone’s time, resources, energy and attitude. We should really try to ignore it completely and let these pathetic people talk to themselves. The best medicine is to not pay any attention to those who have bad intentions and don’t offer positive alternatives. If they only built something for everything they complain about and try boycott. But they can’t, coz they have nothing to offer.

Surely the amount of people with a positive force outweigh these grumpy useless folks. Surely enlightened minds and spirits can make themselves heard louder than these losers. Surely the energy of people with progressive intentions is more powerful than those hiding behind shrouds of fear and cowardice.

You probably know by now that am an atheist and extreme liberal.. never-the-less, if some people chose to mix issues with each other, that doesn’t mean to discard the whole allegations. Until this very moment, no one from the government denied that they have a hand in this so called “Jordan Festival”.. and no body said they were the overall organizer to begin with..

Hope my English made sense (since I haven’t slept for 32 till now!).. but I had to comment on this..

BTW, I’m capitalist to the core, so I’m not a leftest either!

Even if it was the organizer, so what if it also organized a party for Israel. Intel has one of it’s largest plants in Israel. We’re not about to boycott computing!

I am thinking this will be insignificant since the people who promote and believe this type of rumor are probably not cultured enough to attend a concert in any case.

very nice you even deleted my comment. here it is again: you’re like the biggest homophobe on the blogosphere and then you dare to refer to other people as sheep when you’re not any better. add to that that you’re so worried about this alter ego image that you try to project of being “liberal” and “openminded” that you deleted my comments because you damn know that they are true. at least show some accountability.

I know this is your blog, your space,so it doesn’t really matter what I think. But as I read this post I couldn’t but realize that all of us are simply guilty of the herd mentality “we” mock, what you know about the so-called “parties” is more than enough to come up with such a narrow-minded conclusion, forgive me for there is no other word to describe it, don’t get me wrong I belong to none of the parties mentioned but I do feel insulted when being reminded that we have always been and will always be intolerant to “the other”, to anyone who stands up for beliefs, causes, or whatever u call it that differ from ours.

P.S. I know this is an old post but I’m literally reading each and every post on your blog, I love it.
