Another Survey
My friend Marah has a survey that needs to be filled for her graduation project, which is the identity of a Middle Eastern style hotel.

The questions are vauge and the choices are even more vague. What’s a traditional middle eastern hotel? argeeleh, a tent motif… for example? A brief introduction would’ve helped in choosing answers accordingly.

well yes i mean by the eastern style an eastern and islamic motifs that am gonna apply it to the hotel identity on printed material and products, hope every thing is clear now1

I agree the questionare needs some adjustment. Question 2’s answer determines whether to answer question 3 or not. As an Arab I would choose something different from my culture when I go abroad, you fro a change…’Middle East’ … I don’t lik the term , it’s too colonial, who are we middle east to? …the west…we do whatever the west wants us to even giving us names they like!…what’s wrong with the term, ‘Arab World’?

thx for ur comment. will at the begining i wanted this survey to be answered by foreign ppl only so they can experience sth different with the style! so i think i’ll delete that question which asks if ur a middle eastern or not ?
second thing the term ” middle eastern ” just came from the style that am planning to use .and how we studied about it at the faculty of art and design! becuase this is how they call it.

I’m a silent frequent reader and do not comment but this survey is so stupid. Your friend needs to think hard, very hard, when making up a survey before asking people to answer them. And tell her all upper case sentences are rude and a turn off! Yuck

Marah, Thanks for the clarification. I have a better idea of what you’re asking now, however I still believe it’s a bit vague. More clear questions with clearer choices for answers. For example, question No. 2: If you are going on vacation to a Middle Eastern Country, do you prefer staying in a hotel with a(n)
Middle Eastern style
International Style
Here, you will need to specify what each style consists of. For example, Middle Eastern styel consisting of ____, ______ and _______… If your goal is to use the style how you learned in the facutly of art and design, then you should include that style in these choices.
and a brief introduction in the survey itself would be very helpful and is more likely to generate more responses.
MiddleEastern, first, what you said didn’t really offer any positive feedback that can be used! 2) Your approach was very rude. 3) You should’ve remained a silent visitor…Especially that you didn’t have anything useful to add.
